A Maliwan (elemental) or Tediore (explosive) contact grenade from the base game. Detonates the moment it touches an enemy—no fuse delay. If it misses, it bounces a short way and explodes after about a second.

Useful for spawn points: place Contacts around known trigger zones (e.g. Circle of Slaughter) before enemies appear to hit the vanguard. Also effective against melee-heavy foes like zombies—lay them in the path of oncoming enemies. They can tag airborne targets since detonation is contact-based, but require a direct hit; Rubberized grenades are an alternative if you prefer proximity triggers. Take care not to throw at nearby enemies—the blast can hurt you and allies.
