The Hellfire is a Legendary Maliwan SMG from the base game whose strength is its incendiary effect. Every shot ignites and the burning stacks, so fire rate is more important than raw damage. It is effective against nearly everything, even enemies resistant to fire, due to the sheer volume of burn procs.
