Lacerators are repeaters with a bladed accessory that makes them mediocre guns but excellent melee tools. The blade triples melee damage after other bonuses are applied, so they are best viewed as melee weapons that can also shoot.

The Lacerator accessory replaces an elemental accessory, so Maliwan versions do not exist.
Lacerators are always repeater pistols, and they always use the highest-quality repeater melee accessory. Repeaters or machine pistols with the lower-quality double-damage melee accessory instead qualify for the Fanged prefix.
The "Lacerator" title is applied to repeaters with the top-rank blade accessory and is purely cosmetic, but it takes priority over other non-unique or non-legendary pistol titles. The lower-tier blade accessory instead grants the Fanged prefix.
