A Bandit grenade that flies forward, then kicks sharply upward before bursting like a firework and spraying explosive sparklers over a huge area. It is especially strong against large bosses and other targets that can soak multiple hits, with damage that scales from player level rather than Overpower level.

Axton gets strong value from Gunpowder skills such as Do or Die. It also counts as a MIRV for challenges like EXPLOOOOOSIONS!, since it visibly releases submunitions.

It cannot be traded and does not normally drop. To move a copy between characters, place it in Claptrap's Secret Stash on a fresh character, then delete that character. Dropping it through a ground swap while your inventory is full can cause it to despawn. It was briefly available as an event drop, and a later hotfix increased its blast radius.

Because its damage scales from player level rather than Overpower level, the item card shows no listed damage. It stays extremely strong early on.

Outdoors it can struggle against small targets, so aiming downward, often while mid-jump, helps. Indoors it becomes far more dangerous, since ceilings and ricochets can throw the blast back toward you.
