A Torgue MIRV grenade that throws its child grenades back toward the spot where you were standing when you released it. That makes it awkward at long range, but surprisingly effective up close, where it can carpet the space around you and help secure a Second Wind. Axton can lean into that behavior with Do or Die when he goes down in the middle of a crowd.

Its name and red text reference the film Silverado. The quoted line is spoken in the film, and Midnight Star is both a saloon name and a character nickname there.
