A Maliwan reflect shield that sends enemy bullets back for extra damage. While it has any charge left, taking damage also launches homing slag orbs at the attacker and grants damage reduction, which makes it one of the strongest control and utility shields in the game.

Those orbs can trigger from melee and other non-bullet damage, explode on contact with surfaces, and can even slag you if they detonate too close. In Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode it applies slag very consistently, though it is still best used alongside another reliable slag source.

Krieg can have trouble triggering the hit effects if he is constantly damaging himself, especially in Mania or Hellborn. Even so, as long as the shield has some charge left, the orbs can still support Buzz Axe Rampage, particularly with Blood Trance.

Reflected bullets count as your shots. They can trigger on-hit and on-kill skills and can advance weapon challenges based on the enemy weapon type. That can also interfere with effects that expect you not to fire, such as Gaige's Interspersed Outburst. Only projectiles from handheld guns are reflected; some mounted and heavy weapons are not.
