A Torgue shield built for point-blank fighting. Its explosive nova on break strips nearby shields and helps finish off close targets, which makes it a strong fit for melee-heavy setups such as Krieg. That extra blast can also help secure a Second Wind by tagging enemies you cannot reach in time.

Entering Fight For Your Life triggers the nova even if the shield has not recharged.

It appears as purple in your inventory, but the game treats it as a legendary for drops and for the Grinder. That means it can appear in the general legendary pool and can be created by grinding legendary shields. The purple inventory color comes from an internal rarity bug.
