A legendary Maliwan nova shield that begins pulsing incendiary novas repeatedly once the shield is fully drained. That makes it deadly at point-blank range and especially strong against clustered enemies.

The pulses continue during Fight For Your Life, which can help secure a Second Wind, but the constant explosions can also make it harder to see what you are aiming at. The effect only runs while the shield stays completely empty. Any recharge or refill stops the pulses, and they do not return until the shield fully recharges and is broken again.

With common part combinations, only Black Hole and Hide of Terramorphous usually outdamage its single nova burst.

It can spawn with the Inflammable prefix through a Maliwan capacitor, giving fire immunity, but it cannot roll other elemental immunities. It fits close-range, fire-focused builds and benefits from a longer recharge delay that helps keep it empty. Skills that refill shields can cancel the effect, while full refills can help you reactivate it sooner. It is also the only legendary shield in the base game earned as a mission reward.
