Manly Man Shield

A Torgue shield that behaves mostly like a normal shield, but with a built-in curse that makes you take extra elemental damage. In return, it adds a small burst of explosive damage to melee attacks.

Its melee bonus adds explosive damage equal to 40% of your character's base melee damage, and it does not scale with melee skills, relics, or weapon effects.

If Gaige passes it to Deathtrap with Sharing is Caring, the base melee scaling does not transfer correctly, so the added explosive damage becomes tiny and is usually negligible. The red text references the film In & Out.
