Spike Shield

Spike shields retaliate when you are hit by a melee attack, dealing elemental spike damage back to the attacker. They are niche, but they can work well in close-quarters fights against melee-heavy enemies that keep pushing into you.

root@hyperion-db:~$ cat notes.txt

They are much less effective against enemies that stay at range, since the spike effect only triggers on melee hits.
