A Hyperion pistol that behaves more like a utility explosive than a normal sidearm. Its piercing rounds create rapid follow-up blasts when they hit the ground or walls, making it strongest when fired near a target rather than directly at one. It is also famous for turning pistol ammo into launcher ammo with an absorb shield, which gives it lasting value far beyond its direct damage.

When fired into the ground with an absorb shield, it can convert pistol rounds into launcher ammo, often generating several rockets per shot. The Sham is especially popular for this because its high absorb chance lowers the risk of self-damage. It is always incendiary, so it performs poorly against shields. Redundant variants spend more ammo but create more blasts. Amp shields boost the explosions fully, and if a direct piercing hit fails to register, aiming at enemies' feet usually lets the blast pattern do the work.
