A Jakobs shotgun with enormous per-pellet damage and a low pellet count, making it far more consistent for crits and longer-range hits than most shotguns. Every shot also hurts the user and delays shield recharge, so it is strongest when fired in short brutal bursts from cover rather than spammed. That drawback makes it dangerous, but it also creates strong synergies for characters who can exploit self-damage or fast burst windows.
