A launcher built for crowd control, trapping nearby enemies in energy bubbles when it hits and then layering heavy splash with a lingering non-elemental damage-over-time effect. It is excellent for clearing groups and buying a Second Wind under pressure, and the non-elemental damage keeps working even against targets that resist the weapon's element. It spends 2 ammo per shot, but each shot covers a lot of ground.

Its projectiles can damage enemies through walls and other cover. Amp shields boost both the main shot and each individual energy orb. The damage-over-time effect is non-elemental, so on Slag versions it is not increased against slagged targets, which often makes another element plus a slag grenade the stronger choice.
