A Maliwan sniper rifle whose impact spawns a secondary burst of pellets, letting a single shot stack far more damage than the card suggests. Because it also deals splash damage and carries boosted critical-hit performance, it becomes exceptionally strong when you place the first impact just below a crit spot and let the split pellets rise into it. In skilled hands, it is one of the nastiest precision weapons in the game.

It is usually named Captain Scarlett's Pimpernel, though any accessory can replace that prefix. A Gentleman's slag version keeps the bonus critical-hit behavior even if the card does not show it. The split pellets take full amp damage. On Gaige, Close Enough ricochets can spawn pellets at the enemy hit point. On Salvador, pellets fired from the off-hand use the main-hand damage and element, and if the main-hand magazine is empty they can also gain Money Shot scaling. The pellets cannot hit the user. Projectile speed changes the pellet spacing, so skills such as Vel0city and Accelerate affect how it lands. It can trigger B0re, and B0re, Chain Reaction, and The Nth Degree can all retrigger repeatedly on tightly grouped targets.
