The Provacateur is a Maliwan SMG variant that always spawns with a fixed elemental barrel, giving it stronger status chance and damage over time than most weapons in its tier. A matching Maliwan grip pushes those elemental strengths even further. It is not flashy by rarity, but it can carry fights very effectively until a stronger specialist weapon takes over.

Related Maliwan fixed-element SMGs include Venom for corrosive, Vexation for shock, Revenant for slag, and Hyperborean for cryo. A loot-generation bug can cause blue-rarity versions to display purple-style title coloring, and with Colorblind Mode enabled they may even be labeled as purple instead of blue. Because of this, blue and purple versions with identical parts can end up with the same stats. Random world drop from suitable loot sources.
