A Maliwan launcher whose rocket erupts in repeated fire bursts as it travels, turning a single shot into a moving wall of incendiary damage. It is strongest in tight spaces, on catwalks, or anywhere enemies are lined up closely enough for the traveling bursts to clip multiple targets before the final impact. Faster projectile speed shortens that burst chain, so slower rockets often perform better.

Maliwan scope and exhaust parts can make it worse by increasing rocket speed and shortening the burst chain. A Torgue exhaust slows the rocket and usually produces more mid-air bursts instead. The traveling fire novas can damage you, most often when you shoot while moving forward and the rocket is slow enough for the bursts to catch up to you.
