Root is one of the earliest rifles you are likely to see, whether from a drop or a vending machine. Its Dahl-style muzzle improves handling with lower recoil, better accuracy, and faster recoil recovery, making it noticeably easier to control than most Torgue rifles. That smoothness comes at the cost of some per-shot damage, but it gives the weapon a friendlier early-game feel.
