Spark is a rare sub-type of SMG that always spawns with a fixed-element Maliwan barrel, giving it unusually strong status chance and damage over time for its tier. Because the parts are locked, it appears far less often than its color suggests and is easy to overlook. Even so, it can punch well above its rarity through the early and mid game.

Related Tediore SMGs in this family are Chaff for slag, Green for corrosive, and Kindle for incendiary. Spark only appears at green rarity or higher and drops randomly from suitable world-drop sources.
