A Maliwan pistol built around layered Shock damage, with every shot detonating and then spawning a rising lightning orb that explodes again. That two-stage hit makes it excellent for stripping shields and spreading shock damage through groups, especially on builds that care about repeated elemental procs. It is one of the more distinctive anti-shield sidearms in the game.

As a Shock weapon, it can damage the user. With the Transformer, self-hits can refill the shield and may also be absorbed as launcher ammo. Other absorb shields only have a chance to convert the hit into launcher ammo. The second detonation can be amplified by amp shields. The initial splash benefits from grenade damage bonuses, but the rising orb's follow-up blast does not. The orb only appears if the first hit connects with an enemy or with a ledge or edge.
